There is also an organisational dimension. Senthilkumar is not only a candidate; he is the Party Administrator, a role that sits at the intersection of organisation and finance. For someone running the back office to come within 2,271 votes of a sitting heavyweight while also managing booth coordination for the entire western zone is the kind of dual performance that gets noted in cadre meetings long after the news cycle has moved on.

For 2031, the read is direct. TVK now governs the state. Coimbatore South will be a referendum on five years of TVK administration in the city — civic delivery, water, housing, IT corridor expansion. If the new government performs in Coimbatore, Senthilkumar starts the next cycle with a 2,271-vote deficit that incumbency can erase before lunch. If it does not, the same number becomes the ceiling.
